Monsoon Weather Effects in Yeppoon

February 15, 2008

I made this video on the 12.Feb 2008 after the heavy rainfalls of the monsoon had cleared up for the first time. Until then it had rained for nearly 48 hours straight. Where we drive is actually on the wrong side of the road since the other (flooded side) was closed.

Luckily enough the road is double lined so traffic was still able to flow past the gap. This drive is on Farnborough Road heading toward Byfield along the beachfront in Yeppoon.

Web cam worked for me, at about 1 frame/s. Very cool. I’d like to do that if I can get a location arranged.
Looks like another wet and windy day.

@ Jylan: mmh..must be your slow connection then. And no, it isn’t mine, it belongs to the KBSC and I’m simply linking to it. Groovy ey? :-)

@ Mike: not particularly the best of view right now with all the miserable weather we’ve had. Just wait until there is sunshine, you will be in awe. :-) I reckon we should all have that on our local blogs as it is great advertising (at least when the weather is nice) for tourists.

Got something to say?
