Soon enough kids of all ages will start another school term. With the holidays over it is back to learning and preparing yourself for the future. Local businesses have been advertising many school related specials in recent week and it is not too late to take advantage of this. Best places to go are Yeppoon newsagents and the office store opposite Maggy’s.

If you need some books, rulers, pens or other school paraphernalia, now is the time to go shopping and save some money.

To help you plan your future family holidays better for 2008 we have compiled a list with all applicable school term dates:

Term 1 starts 29th January (Tuesday) to 4th April (Friday) 2008
Term 2 starts 15th April (Tuesday) to 27th June (Friday) 2008
Term 3 starts 15th July (Tuesday) to 19th September (Friday) 2008
Term 4 starts 6th October (Monday) to 12th December (Friday) 2008

*State school students in year 12 will finish school on 21st November (Friday)

*State school students in year 10/11 will finish school on 28th November (Friday)

Student Free Days are also a popular part of the schooling system where teachers have the opportunity to undertake personal development courses and allowing schools to plan ahead to serve their pupils better.

Dates for student free days in 2008 are:
